Jian niao dan (煎鳥蛋/煎鸟蛋) (pinyin with tones: jian niao dan) is a common night market snack which usually has 4 to 7 fried quail eggs skewered together. Jian niao dan requires a special mold which has many hemispherical cavities to fry eggs. You can find jian niao dan in almost every night markets. Brushed a layer of garlic soy sauce and sprinkled with some pepper salt, jian niao dan tastes devine. But if you want to try some special taste, there are some other flavors like chili sauce, curry powder, seaweed powder, plum powder, and so on.
