Shou tao bao (壽桃包) (pinyin with tones: shòu táo bāo), or called shou tao (壽桃) (pinyin with tones: shòu táo), is a kind of sweet bao zi (包子, bun) stuffed with red bean paste or lotus seed paste. The distinction between shou tao bao and other sweet bao zi is its shape which is made into a peach with pink blush on the top, sometimes even with green leaves decorated on the sides.

Meaning Of Shou Tao Bao (壽桃包)
People believe that shou tao bao is auspicious so it is usually served as offerings to Gods on some worshipping rites or as a blessing for the elderly on their birthday. Nowadays shou tao bao is more common compared to the old days. You can find shou tao bao in Chinese restaurants or traditional pastry shops in Taiwan.
