Rou Bao (肉包) Steamed Pork Bun
Rou bao (肉包) (pinyin with tones: ròu bāo), steamed pork bun, is a family of bao zi (包子). It is stuffed with soy-sauce-flavored ground pork, sometimes also with chopped green onions. Rou bao is also a common breakfast you can find in traditional breakfast shops, markets, and some bao zi shops. It is also a good choice of afternoon snacks since it contains protein and carbohydrate, which provides you energy, and less oil because it is steamed not fried.
Family Of Bao Zi (包子)
There are other flavors of bao zi which are also popular such as cai bao (菜包, vegetable bun), sun bao (筍包, bamboo shoot bun), and dou sha bao (豆沙包, red bean paste bun). In cai bao, there are three most common flavor which are cabbage, leek, and xue li hong (雪裡紅, salted mustard green). Besides bao zi, there are also something similar but with different

and the one with different cooking way such as shui jian bao (水煎包, steam-fried bun).
