Hai xian mi fen tang (海鮮米粉湯) (pinyin with tones: hǎi xiān mǐ fěn tāng) is a bowl of thin noodles soup with some seafood such as shrimp, fish, squid, calamari, oyster, and so on. In the articles of mi fen tang (米粉湯, rice noodle soup) and xiao juan mi fen (小卷米粉, rice noodle soup with neritic squid), I mention that most rice noodle soup is made of thick rice noodles; the thin ones are usually made into chao mi fen (炒米粉, fried rice noodles). Hai xian mi fen tang, however, is made of thin rice noodles, which I feel quite match this dish. You can find hai xian mi fen tang in some noodle shops but it is not as common as xiao juan mi fen or mi fen tang. But people make hai xian mi fen tang at home more often than eating it outside.
